Review on Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle Food, Natural Maintenance Formula, 45-Ounce by Domonique Rieder

Has anyone else noticed that these pellets are twice the size? I love the huge container and my red-eared sliders are very happy with the food, however the new batch I have just received is darker in color and twice the size of the previous batch. One of my two adult turtles has a hard time eating them and either spits them out whole or (as other reviewers have noted) some of them, making the water dirty. It doesn't matter since I feed them in a sink (everyone should feed their turtles in a separate sink. A stainless steel sink works well and is easy to fill and empty), but I hate when turtles have trouble eating. I usually mix several types of food at each feeding and turtles prefer Zoo Med Tetra Stix pellets. Of course, they like shrimp best. So it seems that turtles don't have the same tastes as humans. Zoo Med in this sized container is the best buy out of all the products I have tried.
