This is a good solid hammer with some weight. It felt good even after all day use Don't use too hard Strike hard without damaging the back of the chisel The plastic head dissipates the impact of the impact and relieves stress on your arm and hand I haven't used it for many small jobs but I have used it for lighter chiseling jobs and it worked well for gouging grooves in a 10" walnut log and it worked better than my beech hammer. The head has some signs of wear but is not damaged in any way. I expect this tool will be widely used and will likely purchase one of the lighter models for smaller, more detailed work.
