Appearance: clearly labeled always-on socket and app/button controlled socket. Assembly and installation: Turn off the power and replace the normal outlet. The back is quite large so hopefully there aren't too many cables at the back of the box to mess with. As another reviewer mentioned, the screws aren't color-coded as usual, so you'll need to read the back of the socket to make sure you're inserting them correctly. There's also no strip length indicator to ensure you're putting the correct length into the socket. After putting it back in the box, the front panel "snaps" into the recess on the sides/edges. This caused a bit of a problem for my setup, so I really had to work with the clamps to make sure they stayed connected. Your results may vary. Download the app and add your device (automatic scanning made this easier than figuring out what socket version it was). Thoughts: The app has many features, I was really pleasantly surprised. There's a regular schedule (on and off times), countdown timer, a circulation function (I can't figure out what it does), a random timer (again, I can't figure out that interface), slow motion - where every time you turn it on, it turns off automatically, as do the sunrise and sunset timers. The app could have explained things better, but then again, a lot more features than I expected. There are also baby locks, magazines and more. Multifunctional enough for a basic socket. Overall: a good Wi-Fi outlet with a good range of features, some help with the app's UI might be needed, but there's a lot more to it than I expected.
