Saved me Benjamins

Recently my driver's side lock started working. Sometimes it locked, others wouldn't unlock and eventually locked. I checked the batteries and fuses carefully. After some time, Google confirmed that the actuator had blown. I looked up the cost to take it to the mechanic, $5-800 was the range I got. Only part of Dorman cost over $200. So after some research and a few tutorials on YouTube I decided to take a chance because even if it breaks I can still replace it 10+ times before paying what the retailer asks just for installation. I received the item quickly with Prime and started the exchange process on Sunday afternoon. Phone in hand, YouTube flipped up and ready to go, it took me a total of 30 minutes from start to finish. For at least 10 minutes they tried to find a metric set of outlets because. Toyota = Metric. It looks identical to the factory part and is easy to install as per the manual. Would definitely buy again (for a different car of course). For reference, I'm not a mechanic, I don't work with cars. I'm just a 30 year old woman who likes to fix things and not spend money on things she can do herself.
