The caliper came with a broken bolt. A screw secures the caliper to the bracket. When I received these calipers I was thrilled to put them on my F-350 (they look freaking awesome and blush a little through my blacked out wheels). I didn't look at all the parts before taking my old calipers off the truck. When I went to install them, I noticed that the screw head was unscrewed on the new brake calipers. It had enough head on the threads so we had to drill out the bolt to avoid damaging the caliper mating surface. Then I had to run into town to get a new bolt/slide pin. As it was the weekend, I couldn't reach anyone at Powestop. I needed my truck and didn't have time to leave it raised in the driveway, return it and wait for Amazon to ship another set of calipers. I think one of two things happened, both scenarios are disheartening and tedious to think about. 1- The bolt was over tightened and turned the head off at the power stop when they were driving and they were sent anyway instead of doing it. 2- The bolt head broke during shipping. If it breaks in the wrapped shipping box I'm very worried about the overall integrity of the hardware and a screw this cheap shouldn't be used for something as important as brakes. After some research you will find that Powerstop calipers are just repainted stock Ford calipers. So just understand that this is what you are buying. The performance of the caliper is identical to any other OEM caliper you buy, except it's painted red. Overall I LOVE the look of the red paint showing through the rims and several people have already commented on it. It's subtle but noticeable. I would have given this 5 stars across the board if it hadn't been for the broken bolt that was supposed to hold everything together.
