However, since the whole thing easily breaks down into three pieces, I still use the bracket's "arm" to hold the switch, after fitting the "arm" into a PVC tube with a hole drilled in it installed a support. That way I can still use part of the whole in bed and then pull it out and put it back in a full mount on my desk when needed.
