Before going below deck to install this fitting I did a test fit on some short pieces of PVC. Its installation was not easy.1 . Loosen the clamps to allow the rubber to expand. It really expands to a good bit.2. Wipe the PVC pipes with a damp cloth. And mark the PVC pipes with a pencil line about 1.5 to 2 inches from the end so you can see when the pipe is fully installed. Apply some liquid dish soap to the inside of the rubber fitting.4. Center and insert the PVC. Make sure it goes all the way in, then push it all the way in using the depth marks.5. Tighten the clamps. I used a socket wrench and checked the tightness by twisting the tube.
