pleasantly surprised! I was skeptical when I first looked at this in a plastic container (impossible to open) but once I put it on the dashboard it's an amazing invention! So much better line of sight than with the GPS hanging on the windshield. And this bracket makes it extra easy to remove the entire unit from the dash when I leave the car closed in the summer heat. I have a 2014 Magellan Maestro GPS and it fits perfectly in this strong and durable mount. Just place the entire mount with GPS installed, suction side down in the center, lock and forget it. Completely safe, it won't go anywhere - sharp turns, sudden stops. All of this remains. It's also far more convenient because it's easy to get everything out of the way than detaching and reattaching the suction cup mount to the windshield every time I want to raise or remove my folding sun visor. I have a 2015 Honda Civic and was also a little unsure if it would have enough room to fit on the compact car's smaller dashboard. But it fits perfectly. Happy with my purchase!
