This is my second Garmin Forerunner 10. Pros: LOVE its simplicity (only 3 functions: time, distance, pace. Perfect for the most basic of runners who don't want or need a lot of bells and whistles). Like the color scheme. Cons: GPS catches a satellite in a minute, and even more if it's cloudy or overcast outside. (But once that happens, you're good). Another thing I don't like is the workmanship of the strap - my first Forerunner 10 worked great for two years but then the strap broke right where it touched the watch and trust me when I tell you say that it will be almost impossible to fix it. as expensive as buying a new watch. This is the only reason why this amazing GPS watch doesn't get a 5 star rating from me. One great thing about the Forerunner 10 is that the brand new model is significantly cheaper than it was a few years ago (probably because they've now released the Forerunner 15, a newer version but basically the same). In any case, I'm glad I got my second Garmin Forerunner 10, a good investment and perfect for no-frills runners who just want to know how far they've run and how long it takes them to complete their course.
