I used the plastic version before this metal cat waste scoop. Cleaning the litter box with a plastic scoop was a hassle because it could only clean a small layer of a litter box at a time. If someone tried to fill the scoop, the plastic scoop couldn't take the weight and all but a small number of liters fell back into the litter box. This metal scoop is amazing. I can scoop out a lot of debris and the shovel sifts without much effort. I am very satisfied with this scoop and can recommend it unreservedly!
