My work computer is a laptop because traveling and working in remote locations is part of the business. Most of the time, though, I have access to a desk, keyboard, and second monitor. What I don't have is a job. This is very easy to fix. I cannot use the computer with the lid closed, it is shutting down. This device solves many problems. Since part of the keyboard is almost vertical, I have less desk space for other documents. The new position ensures better cooling. The screen is now about the same height as my second monitor. All of this, plus easy disassembly/storage for my next step, makes it one of the best desktop tools I've come across. The only downside is that there isn't another notch to make the computer a bit more upright. .
