We chose the easy route this year as we often have to travel 300+ miles to visit the doctor and see 2 out of 3 of our children and grandchildren, so often Get away for a few days during the summer heat. Returning home, we find compositions of "dried flowers" where real flowers used to be. This year, instead of what has happened in previous years, I decided to buy new porch containers and fill them with river rock for extra weight. Then tuck in large bushes of artificial flowers. They look great from the street and never need watering!
