It's worth only one needle.
I have an old white one from 1948 with special needles. Needless to say, the threaded plunger was too big to fit my needles. BUT the holder for holding the needle to put it in the machine was worth it! If my needle isn't fully raised, it will skip stitches. This is a great solution to a problem I've had over the years.
