A perfect example of a complex non-solution. Couldn't for the life of me figure out how to use it based on instructions or common sense. I have an old white one from 1948 with special needles. Needless to say, the threaded plunger was too big to fit my needles. BUT the holder for holding the needle to put it in the machine was worth it! If my needle isn't fully raised, it will skip stitches. This is a great solution to a problem I've had over the years.

You need to press the body of this needle threader against the needle to get a "wire" to push the thread through the eye, this will cause the retractable guard part of the needle to get stuck and pull the thread by pulling it on the wrong side. There is a babylock needle threader that you press onto the back of the needle threader that pushes the "wire" through the eyelet, making it lighter and softer. The thread is much less likely to be pulled out when the needle threader is pulled back.

If you're looking for a cheap replacement for the Dritz needle threader, this isn't it. I thought how could it not be this good, it's such a simple little tool. I was wrong af. They are so tight when they slip to thread the needle that I almost broke the needle and never threaded it through. The white part that moves to allow a small piece of metal to push the thread through the needle got stuck and when I tried to free it it flew across the room starting the mechanisms inside leaving me with…
