This device has been installed in my 17" open center console for about 5 weeks without any problems. Has been surprised by the rain many times and sprayed with a garden hose without fogging up. The installation was above the existing one Gauges effortlessly, although the wiring required a separate switch for the ignition wire for my boat which spends most of its time with the ignition off.It has logged about 20 hours of operation at high volume and worked flawlessly.is easy and the range is on my little Boot no problem I've never been a fan of powering the speakers from the main unit like some reviewers have, and have instead relied on a stereo amp to drive two 6.5" speakers. I think 60x4 is a bit optimistic for a device this size and d This price and is probably the cause of the heat problem some are suffering from.
