Mod Podge is dishwasher safe - just doesn't work

This product does not work and was ultimately a waste of my time and resources. I bought this after a craft guide recommended it and planned to use it to seal vinyl decals on the plastic cups and bowls I sell on Etsy. I have used many simple shiny mod podge and was happy to find this one. I created the design for the mug and followed the instructions through to the T. During application, the brush strokes were very clear and the plastic bottle no longer looked crisp. Normally when applied thinly the Mod Podge eventually becomes translucent but it remained cloudy and the sealant left some texture even though I used a foam brush. The instructions for use state that the product should not be used within 28 days of the last coat being applied. . I let it cure for over 30 days before attempting to wash it off. The dishwasher (top shelf) completely destroyed the cup. The vinyl held, but the mod podge broke and became sticky. This seal ruined a mug I made and nothing could be saved - I lost money on the mug, the vinyl I used for the design and the giant dishwasher safe thing. Mod Podge I will never use again.
