Senignol Nano Glass Nail Shiner Kit, Glass Nail Buffer File Set Natural Glass Fingernail Files with Protective Case, Professional Manicure Tools File Polisher for Acrylic Nails(2PCS)I have tired a few glass nail files and have been fairly happy with them. The "files" that come in this set look identical to the "buffers" in my other set. So I was skeptical about this title and description calling these nail files.The "files" in this set can work as nail files but not well. For filing I prefer the etched glass nail files where the tips are frosted since they are a bit coarser and file my nails down a lot quicker. This set of "files" has a very fine grit that is just too fine so I think these are really meant more to buff and shine nails instead of actually working as a nail file. Even as a buffer, it doesn't work as well as the traditional 3 step buffers. These shiners only have two levels of grit on these files, smooth and shine. This is the reason why they don't work as well as the three step buffers because 3 step buffers have rough, smooth, and shine grit. Without the rough grit, the nails aren't smooth and level enough to shine and get a smooth finish. Therefore I found myself sitting there buffing for a long time because the smooth grit took a long time to take off the ridges of my nails.Here is a picture of my natural nails with my thumb nail buffed but my pinky nail wasn't. It took about 5-7 minutes on this one nail using only this glass buffer to get to this point and it still wasn't done. I didn't have it in me to finish polishing the thumb to get it completely smooth let alone to do the rest of the nails.Overall I would not get this set if you are looking for a nail file. If you are looking for a buffer, this may be an okay option provided you have a rough buff your nails first. But if you are going to have to rough buff your nails first before using this set, I'd say just stick with the 3-step buffers and call it a day instead of having to buy two products.
