It works fine for 3 months, then it just shuts off. DO NOT BUY!

Edited Added 4/13/2020 (6 months after purchase) - it now shuts down daily. All drives are removed from the computer because it just randomly shuts down, which is a HUGE problem for backups. DO NOT BUY! In the beginning everything went great! Easy to set up, plug and play, I was thrilled to have a smaller case on my desk. I have used a StarTech 4 drive bay in the past and it is MUCH smaller and quieter. And for two months we had a great relationship. It's definitely a slower transmission, but that's okay, or? Upon trying I found that this is NOT hot-swap, so the computer must be powered off to swap drives. Which I wasn't thrilled about, but ok that just means he's shutting down more often which is a good thing right? Then 3 months after installation it just started shutting down. Nothing strange happened out of nowhere, no thunderstorm, no hits on the socket. It was a normal day and he just disconnected from the computer completely. Which, as you can imagine, is a PROBLEM with high-capacity hard drives. The drives were not ejected properly, just completely removed from the computer. EVERYONE. Now 4 months later, not only does it disconnect randomly, but Windows says it's USB 2.0, not 3.0. Although it was the same port, been used with USB 3.0 for YEARS with no problems. And of course, the problems start right after the return window, right? So disappointing. This cove is very disappointing and frustrating and I do not recommend buying it. I've seen other reviews with the same issues, buyers beware.
