I bought this set of salt and pepper mills for my dining table because it was described as using a ceramic grinder to prevent corrosion along with wood and glass. I try not to pack condiments in plastic. The pan is made of plastic, not ceramic. Also, the grinder is on top, not airtight, and there's no lid to keep moisture and dust from getting inside and ruining the expensive organic peppercorns and Himalayan salt I bought to put inside. Since the grinder is on top, you'll need to turn the item upside down to grind and extract the salt and pepper. The grinders are advertised as being adjustable, but since the product comes with no instructions I have no idea how to adjust the grind on a plastic grinder. The wood and glass are beautiful, but with the white plastic body prominently attached to the top, it appears the item is missing a wooden top, which it is!
