Review on Hillbilly Protective Gear 27042 Impact by David Miller

Much more durable padding if/when you need it

I bought these along with other soft shorts to use for days in the mountains snowboarding and snowkiting (I've snowboarded 30+ days ). already in winter 2017). I've had a bad bruised tailbone in the past and needed protection when snowboarding in tougher conditions (ice etc). First off, I usually wear medium sized pants (I'm about 6ft 0in, 175lbs, I'm skinny), but I bought these shorts in a small size (which fits me). Given the amount of padding on these shorts I can't fit them under my ski pants and when I wear them I have to wear them OVER my pants. I've done exactly this a few times when I needed extra padding (larger than the Docooler shorts provided) and they worked great. The padding and protection for the tailbone, lower leg and thighs are excellent. They worked great for snowkiting in rough conditions. My movements were fine and the shorts didn't bother me at all. that I have never worn them for mountain biking but find it so important that hip protection is so important (I used to fall on my hips sometimes). practice extreme sports for as many years as possible. Better to be safe than sorry later. a bit more time and care to think about it) pays off and if/when you fall or something goes wrong.
