I grabbed it for 8400, and I have no regrets about it; for 9700, of course, it is something worth thinking about; but, if you are a careless user, the plastic may not last as long as it should. The remainder of the headset is something that justifies the purchase price. I won't comment on the positioning of players in games because I don't play that much and just occasionally pay attention to that aspect of the game, but the sound of explosions and gunfire is delicious. These are some advantages: Sound. Even though the ear cushions are made of fabric (which is a benefit in and of itself because it prevents sweating of the ears), the quantity of bass and the overall noise isolation are satisfactory. The headphones provide less emphasis on particular frequencies and can even be used for listening to music due to their versatility. I'll probably add mark down the detachable microphone as a plus because it might sometimes get in the way, but if you don't use it, you can just "click" it off and take it off. In general, the voice quality is comparable to that of other wireless headsets; it has a tiny boom to it, but there is no background noise. Its cons: To tell you the truth, at this price, the overwhelming amount of plastic was aggravating (everything here is made of plastic except for the inside of the headband). You need to use significantly more caution. The charging port on the ears is a micro USB port, which begs the question: are we living in the 21st century or what? But at this point, we're just picking at details.
