Bought these for my hard mountain bike that I use for long distance rides. Just having barbells and extension bars made my arms go numb too quickly. While not perfect, they helped a lot with numb hands. You need to practice with them so you can get on the brakes quickly. Pros: Well made Holds in place Can be used with or without bar tape, but the tape softens the handlebars. Has different hand positions to reduce numbness. Make your own configuration - see photos submitted by other reviewers. Cons: Bottom too short - the part of the handlebar that is parallel to the ground needs to be 2-3 inches longer. If this product simulates a traditional racing bike, the handlebar will fall a little better, it would be more comfortable. I would take these any day in place of the traditional handlebar extensions that many mountain bikes are attracted to. While I didn't give this product 5 stars (because it could be improved), it was a real lifesaver for me.
