Review on πŸ”§ ARUCMIN 24-Piece Bike Tool Kit: Expert Bicycle Repair Set for Mountain & Road Bikes, Essential Maintenance Tools with Storage Case by Jason Franco

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The chain tool is annoying and the price is too high.

I recently converted a 1x11 from a 3x8 so I need some of the tools from this kit. I used the following tools: 8mm allen wrench to remove old bottom bracket crank bolts - works great - 15mm pedal wrench to adjust crank puller - works great - bottom bracket wrench to install new bottom bracket - works great - snap ring wrench to remove and install a new cassette - works great - BB cartridge tool to remove the old bottom bracket - works great - ratchet remover bushing to remove and install the rear cassette - works great - crank puller to remove the old crank - worked fine but I had to change the tip of the puller , because it didn't slide over the crank's square profile to fit snugly against the bottom bracket. After that everything worked great - the rivet extractor to remove the old 8-speed chain is complete crap. The tip pushing the pin started flexing when I lifted it. Complete garbage. Expect it to fail and have a better one handy. - Chain link pliers suitable for the new 11-speed chain. Works great, but doesn't seem very reliable. Overall, these tools get the job done for a beginner and can withstand some abuse. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who plans to change bikes weekly before every ride. For someone like me who needed a conversion kit, it worked great without a chain tool. I'll take a chance and say this set doesn't cost more than $30 and I expect to find it at Harbor Freight. With that in mind I'm giving it 4 stars as most tools are good enough for occasional repairs/maintenance and have worked for me.
