Review on Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 235/65 R17 108H all season by Mateusz Czyta ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mediocre product, probably won't use.

Advertising on two points: 1. Improved wear resistance 2. Cut and chip resistant In my personal experience, advertising has remained! With the promised good grip at temperatures down to minus -10 g (thanks, supposedly, to something from the skin of citrus fruits - look at it reasonably, advertising - there is an advertisement in the passport, this is not indicated anywhere, wear resistance no one indicates "units" of wear, strength - similar). I visited Tire Service with self-tapping screws several dozen times . for 3-4 years of operation (this is a lot). I changed to another Japanese brand (namely Japanese rubber, not Taiwan) for 1-2 years I was only 2 times in Tire Fitting (when I put rubber on and 1 time I caught a self-tapping screw). I took a set of 225/70/16R, then for less than 25 thousand, and in general I was satisfied (although if I close my eyes to the quick cracking of Amtel Cruise, I would have skated the same amount on it), and now it (Geolendar G015) costs more than 40 thousand + (I I think it’s clearly not worth the money, it’s better to buy something from the domestic one, in fact, you can almost also find Korean ones according to the characteristics). I skated on it for more than 6 seasons (Winter-Summer), those from the moment it entered the market. In the "tolerant" mode - then I changed to Dunlop (for me it's better than Amtel, Viatti, and this same Geolendar G015). In short, G015 is a cool tire while it's new (in the first year, for sure, if you roll it for one year and sell it as a used one, then it's quite a good option). I skated for several years . (it was necessary to drain when I was still in condition)

Pros
  • 1. Beautiful and versatile protector, 2. Side hooks (looks good too) 3. Soft (a little even unnecessarily). 4. Good at speeds up to 90 (on Highways 110 keeps so-so). 5. Good for primer, light dirt and puddles. 6 Price (When I bought for a novelty, the price was 5500 approximately). 7. Imported (Thailand) 8. It is the main plus that is versatility (If you believe the advertisement, some kind of citrus skin component allows you to use the strength characteristics of a not very severe winter, i. E., in fact, ideal all-weather and all-terrain (AT) tires for SUVs!
Cons
  • As much as I hate to praise tires. For its beauty and versatility, but all good things have their bad sides. 1. Other side of softness and tread pattern: - The tread wears out quickly. - Easily catches screws. 2. After wear (2 seasons) in the corners, jerks at the start, as soon as it rests against the side hooks and then goes cheerfully and smoothly (I had a similar experience on the Winter Viatti, I immediately sold it and bought G015 for this reason). I would have thrown it away in the fourth year, but there was no desire to buy something new and not the best for the same money (runs up to 10 thousand / year) - alas . In short, tires are good only in the first year of use (10-20 thousand mileage for it is probably the ceiling), then, alas, for a C grade. Despite their softness, in winter there is not much ice on them - ice is not her element at all - sleet too . snow with rain is also mediocre.
