Highly recommended for pugs! Pros - Soft suede straps that won't chafe, X-shaped design sits lower on the chest. Cons - Lower chest straps can make it easier for the dog to slip backwards off the leash if not closely watched. My pug's neck was too high and looked uncomfortable. Also, the nylon washed away the fur from his armpits where the straps wrapped around his chest, just behind his front legs. as if it hit him in the neck when sitting. The webbing on the part of the harness that goes around his chest has a very soft suede feel and the fur under his arms has grown back since he switched to this harness system. it's easier for him to back off and slip off the leash when he really wants to. The padded straps also allow them to slip a bit over time, requiring an occasional tightening (about once a month).
