Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance 2 255/50 R21 106H winter by Mateusz Komorowski ᠌

Normal quality, you can use it.

Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance 2. Size 245/45/17. Auto Infiniti G35 Coupe (280 forces, rear-wheel drive, automatic for those who do not know). Tires were bought new. In principle, he pointed out the pros and cons. An event after which I decided that I would no longer buy this model for other cars: I could not drive into a small ice hill (exit from a secondary one to the main one, like everyone slows down and ice is rolled) neither with VDC turned on, nor with it turned off. The machine grinded stupidly and did not move, although it pressed gently. Went in just on the run. You usually skid on spikes, but at least you go a centimeter. Burrows in the snow at once and does not row a damn thing. The only thing is that it rides very cool and stably on packed snow, fuel consumption has decreased by 0.5 liters compared to summer tires (for the G35, of course, it’s not essential :)), comfortable, not noisy. Perhaps, for the 2022 winter, other qualities are still needed. Will I buy more? No. I will buy X-ice north2 HKPLT7 or to the edge of Gislaved. But in general, it is quite possible to drive, the tire is normal, it does not cause difficulties.

Pros
  • - comfort, incl. acoustic - behavior on packed snow - fuel consumption - price (compared to Velcro from Nokian, Continental - these are finally overpriced with prices (principled ignore), and Michelin) - side grip
Cons
  • - behavior on ice - behavior in slushy porridge (splash plenning or whatever it is) - behavior in deep snow
