Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Steering Performance with Beck Arnley 103 3069 Steering Rack by Rusty Calcara

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Perfect fit - even with a clip, it stays in place.

I have no idea what the wire with the two circles at the end is for, other than tensioning the belt. I saved and reused my outer clip. To make sure your alignment is fine. Use the side of a popsicle stick and some paint. Draw a thin line from the end of the tie rod to the locknut (at the top two sides of the hex and then down to the threads on the inner tie rod. Loosen the outer end of the tie rod - making sure the locknut and inner end stay in line with the tie rod) . with your marks Remove the outer end of the tie rod completely Use vernier calipers to measure the distance from the inner end of the tie rod to the lock nut Measure twice - ATTACH the vernier calipers to the measuring point - Use the stop screw Remove the old dust boot and remove the Locknut from the inner end of the tie rod. Attach a new cover. Attach the inner and outer clamps to the new housing. the marks you made on the inner shaft and locknut. Then fully insert the outer tie rod into the locknut, aligning the marks while tightening. before you started
