This is a very good kitchen scale. For the price I paid - I'm really happy with my purchase. The design is concise and elegant. The surface has a nice metallic finish and is very easy to clean if you get dirty. It's pretty accurate too. It was really easy to set up, calibrate and calibrate. You can also switch between metric and imperial units. The display's bright backlight makes it easy to read in dim light. As they say, it has a built-in battery. So it doesn't need any external batteries. But the package includes two AAA batteries, which you can install if you don't want to charge or you just forgot.
