Can't you beat these when it comes to securing cargo, tires, spare fuel, water, Aunt Edna? These fit without exception. I used them on the Rhino-Rack Pioneer platform. Like all Rhino racks (except aluminum platforms) IT WILL RUST even without salt or chloride. When you get them or the ladder brackets or whatever, give them a good wash with thinner or strong rubbing alcohol and a few coats of anti-rust spray paint and you'll be fine for a couple of years. Rhino rack products are excellent quality but the finish is not powder coated as they claim, strong alcohol can blow the paint.
