Review on Xtrempro Toslink Optical to Coax Coaxial Digital Audio Converter - Black (65040) - Dolby Digital & DTS 5.1 Support, Multiple Sampling Rates (44.1Khz, 48Khz, 96Khz, 192Khz) by Ben Diesel

It didn't work with any of the feeding methods.

It just didn't work out. It came with a USB power supply, so I bought an all-electric power supply, and it didn't fix the problem (like one reviewer did). I can confirm these are not my cables or components. I found a much better option for only $5 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N32C5GT/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Although it comes with an optical and a coax cable (what a rarity!), I used the ones I already had connected (too lazy!) and it worked right away. For the extra $5 you also get a device that switches the input to either SPDIF or coax and has BOTH format outputs active at the same time (that's what the description says. I haven't tested this).

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but something happened
