I LOVE THESE SOCKS! Let me just say that I live in East Texas (HOT and HOT summers with winters that chill you to the bone), add that even in the winter my feet sweat just as much, if not more, than in the summer. become miserable in cotton socks in winter. As a phone company employee, I spend a lot of time outdoors AND indoors. These socks are great no matter the temperature and do a great job of keeping you comfortable. I used to wear cotton socks that came in big packages, but my feet were always wet and uncomfortable (my feet would look like plums!). These socks will help keep moisture off your feet and prevent that from happening. I've always been told to buy merino wool socks but most of these are expensive and my experience is with cheap pure wool military socks. It's a great value, the cushioning inserts in the foot area are so thick and plush that it's nice to wear my steel toe Wolverine boots all day (better than cheap inserts as they fluff up with every wash). ). My mother-in-law gave me these for Christmas 2015 and I ordered another pack a few weeks ago and am placing another order today (no more cotton socks for me!). I wash and dry them with all other fabrics so no special treatment (except cold water BUT air dry is better as they last longer). In winter I even wear them at home to keep my feet warm and comfortable. The BEST $20 to spend on yourself or a loved one!
