Great socks! Very comfortable, warm, soft and thick but not too bulky. I wore them all the time on a recent trip to Iceland and they were just perfect! Keeps feet warm and natural wool wicks sweat to keep feet dry. They definitely got a bit unconventional after a day of hiking, but my feet were very happy! Wash inside out in cold water and air dry to avoid shrinkage and you'll definitely get a lot out of them!

I was looking for large, heavy thermal socks and they fit the bill. They are long enough for boots and thick enough to walk in almost like slippers. And of course, the fact that they're mostly wool makes them pretty good for moisture control. As far as fit goes, I haven't seen socks that ride down to the ankles and don't dig into the skin of the calves. The colors are not as bright as in the picture, but for me it's not critical. I've worn them with Muckmasters and other boots and even 990V4s (sneakers). You are excellent. Not too tight. Warmed me up, but not too much.
