Perfect size as it doesn't take up too much space in the oven but big enough for a '3 servings per pan' pizza. Of course, if you're buying (or making your own) "family-friendly" pizzas, choose a larger stone than this. Although it's not my first stone, I've learned a few things with it. I washed it off (no soap) after taking it out of the box because I don't like the idea of "factory residue" on my kitchenware. I heated it and put the frozen pizza inside, which quickly turned into a gooey mess on the stone: I must have prevented all the water from evaporating from the stone before putting the pizza on! Also, the gluten-free (frozen) Udi pizza I usually buy sometimes sticks a little to the stone, even when the stone is completely dry; this will probably happen to every stone I suspect since the "regular" pizza didn't stick to my previous stone (I didn't use wheat pizza on this stone). Hidden bonus: I also use this stone for frozen dishes that instruct you to use a baking sheet when you put them in the oven. If you have a rock, you don't need this pan.
