For a family home, I think it's necessary. For the pros who pour champagne into the lens, they need moisture spray, 16-35 for a hundred thousand. By the way, 70-200L also leaked, now 55-250 STM. I think this is because Canon is merging EOS and the latest lenses are all good from them

- not much worse than the vaunted 17-40L, both are available (no longer available, 17-40 sold) - a real wide angle on the body, 17-40 did not give width - stub! - light - no pity - cheap - hood on Ali for 100, JJC level

Cons

- no red ring - no dust protection - fragile evidence - dark at night

Has pros: sharp, color reproduction like all Canon lenses. Fast focusing, silent STM drive, which is important for video, light. Has cons: lathers around the edges, I don’t know, maybe I only have such a copy.
