The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

This is my first shirik, and besides the picture that it gives out such an angle, it causes a lot of emotions. Perfect for those who want to try something new. I'll try to tell you a little about this wonderful lens. The lens is assembled well. Despite the plastic case and bayonet mount, the assembly looks convincing. The zoom ring rotates sooooo nicely. Soft and smooth, with slight resistance. The lens mount is plastic. It's a downside, yes. Could be made from metal. But I don't think it's too

    Pros
    • Price. The lens costs really humanely, especially considering what it is capable of. Not only is it one of the best lenses in its class, it is also very budget friendly. Stabilizer. He is, and he does his job. Size and weight. Everything is clear here. STM. Focus is inaudible. Image quality. Sharpness. Small MDF.
    Cons
    • Plastic bayonet. Not a big minus, but they could have made a metal one. Some vignetting at wide end at open end.

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

Uncontested crop width. For such money, and even with a stub, this is generally the norm! From the hands (from the stop) up to half a second, the norms can be removed, not lubricated. (for an Instagrammer it will definitely do ;) A good solution for shooting architecture and interiors. The main thing is to screw the hole and everything is super. As an option, a surprisingly good event (reporter), because a stub and a wide angle - if you want, you won’t miss =) Sometimes autofocus blurs, but for

    Pros
    • Price, shooting opportunities
    Cons
    • Dark, big. Autofocus smears.

Tired of Elka 17-40, there is nothing for a wide crop. Fix wanted - there is nothing, manual Samuyangs do not count. The people praised 10-18, took it, drove it together with 17-40; Well - L-ka sold. For a family home, I think it's necessary. For the pros who pour champagne into the lens, they need moisture spray, 16-35 for a hundred thousand. By the way, 70-200L also leaked, now 55-250 STM. I think this is because Canon is merging EOS and the latest lenses are all good from them

    Pros
    • - not much worse than the vaunted 17-40L, both are available (no longer available, 17-40 sold) - a real wide angle on the body, 17-40 did not give width - stub! - light - no pity - cheap - hood on Ali for 100, JJC level
    Cons
    • - no red ring - no dust protection - fragile evidence - dark at night

The right product for me, there were no problems.

This lens turned out to be excellent, especially in terms of price / quality ratio! It’s a sin to find fault with aperture ratio and plastic construction for such a price! The photos are very high quality, it became my staff member, instead of 18-55! Definitely, I recommend it! Photos taken with this lens can be found here:

    Pros
    • Surprisingly sharp wide open, f/9 is a highlight! The colors are vibrant and vibrant! The stabilizer is excellent,

    A valuable purchase, some advantages!

Pros below: Price, optical quality is excellent, sharpness is excellent, stub, weight is small, wide angle Has cons: well, it’s a bit dark, of course, but for that kind of money . for landscapes it doesn’t matter at all

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

Pros below: for this price, the most excellent range of focal lengths for crop, stabilizer, relatively tolerant distortion Its cons: purely external fragility and lightness of the device, a plastic mount - but this is still the operation will show. No hood included

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

Its pros: Weight with Canon 100d 660 grams! You can always throw in a backpack. Cons: Sometimes (about every 20 photos) blurry. Tolley this is due to the fact that in a hurry I don’t let him visit sharpness, felts due to the fact that he fell from me.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

Different pros: sharp, color reproduction like all Canon lenses. Fast focusing, silent STM drive, which is important for video, light. Some cons: lathers around the edges, I don’t know, maybe I only have such a copy.

Normal budget lens with good image quality, Allows you to get high-quality images, taking into account the features of the lens. Maybe there is not that "pedigree" picture from the L-series (microcontrast and color purity). But this is aesthetics. Not everyone will pay attention. Pros: FR range on crop, weight, sharpness in the center starting from the minimum aperture, fast and accurate enough for comfortable shooting aftofok. Has some cons Considering my awareness of the purchase, for me they

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

I took the lens for tasks related to wide-angle shooting under crop. In general, it works out its price, even more predictable result. Its pros: - Adjustable focal range from 10 to 18mm on crop - Optical stabilization - Price - Light weight - Sane result with slow shooting Different cons: - Unpredictable autofocus at different focal lengths, even in the daytime with bright sun, it may not fall into the landscape, requires regular monitoring and spare shots. - Dark, which is not critical for a…

Not particularly happy with it, but it's mostly okay.

A new line of STMs that I really liked in the Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM. Here the miracle did not work out: the proportions are too distorted in the picture, there is blurryness, many frames are not obtained, despite the STM. But at the same time for video - a very smart and quiet motor. Pros below: Small weight and size, build quality, quiet and fast, ideal for video. Its cons: Soaps in the photo, frequent misses in the photo, strong image distortion (more than others and more noticeable)…

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

If you are on a crop, then this is the lens that will cause a wow effect. This is my second lens after the whale. I couldn't believe how much was in the frame. At first I even thought that it was broken, in live view mode, it simply did not make sounds. (Who focuses on the whale 18-55 knows how loud it is) I still consider this purchase the best of all my lenses. Pros: Quiet, no noiseless Cutting Light Quick focus Price Stub on board Some cons: In general, there are none, a small quibble: they…

The product is completely satisfied, performs its functions.

Pretty good for this price Got pros: I bought it by accident on EBAY, I was tempted by the price at the auction, it cost 10,000 with delivery, I sang with my Rebel T3i at a time, a real super-wide, the assembly is good, no backlash, no creaks. Lightweight and even all plastic, including the mount, is strong. Weight matters to me, because I was in the tropics and an extra half a kilo goes through the forest, for a vacation to this lens there is also a Canon EF 40mm f / 2.8 STM pancake - this one

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

High-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

    - Excellent, almost no alternative super-wide for Canon crop. Previously, you could choose from Sigma 10-20, Tokin and Tamrons, or save up for Canon 10-22. Now they have all faded into the background. It's funny that Sigma dropped the price of their 10-20 to $300 after the release of the Canon 10-18, but only in the Canon version. For everyone else, it is at the old price)) - Easily catches light, use a lens hood. A raindrop on the glass - a lot of glare at once, longer lenses do not have this

    Pros
    • - Wide angle, don't fish, only the only lens from Sigma is wider - The stabilizer allows you to shoot at dusk without a tripod, and at night it helps to reduce ISO - Sharp from open, very sharp at F / 8. There is a slight drop in sharpness along the very edge, but where have you seen wide widths that are sharp all over the field for this money? - Lightweight, compact, convenient - The price is lower than competitors, in the second-hand version, just for nothing. People even buy Canon 10-18 specifically and put it on Sony through an adapter, because their native optics are too expensive. - Distortion acceptable, easy to correct
    Cons
    • - Vignette in the corners. Noticeable, but not critical, corrected in the editor - The curvature of the field, sometimes smears with focus. This is not a problem with this particular lens, but rather with the class of optics and autofocus of the camera. - The design does not contribute to harsh operation - the lens is more for an amateur than a pro. This is exactly what the manufacturer claims. Specifically, with me, he calmly survived both rain and frost and dust and calmly travels in a bag without protection, so this is more of an external look than specific problems encountered. - From a distance it looks like a whale, so they won't be able to show off))

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

I have been using the lens for almost a year. Bought by hand. I was happy as an elephant on a river on a hot day. Bought with an emphasis on video shooting. Of course, it won't work for all purposes. Bokeh, if you try and turn on your head, it can certainly give out, but object distortions cannot be avoided, although they are hardly noticeable at 18mm. For the price, the lens is very good. For crop cameras, for videos and for landscape photos, if you don’t want to spend a lot of money, this…

    Pros
    • Wide angle on the crop. Sharpness. Convenient focusing ring. Nice weight. optical stabilizer. Silent.
    Cons
    • The luminosity is still too small. But since the lens, in principle, has a specific purpose and can hardly be called universal, this drawback is not so critical.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

After the purchase, he became a staff member. What else to add? there are 40 more 2.8 and 85 1.8 in the case for all sorts of boke portraits and objects. But none of them can capture the dynamics of the moment, as the 10-18STM does. Count the weight with the carcass yourself, I’ll tell you how it feels - it’s the same as just holding the carcass. And she still takes pictures. Miracle lens. The most cherished lens. I am adding to my review: For 5 years did not disappoint even once, not a single

    Pros
    • Weight !, sharpness at any angle over the entire field of the frame, stub, At 18 you will not see any distortions! . well, the price (at one time:)
    Cons
    • Looks fragile, plastic mount. You always want more aperture, but then you will inevitably lose weight. So it's better to be like this :)

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with everything, both price and quality, I advise you to buy.

I think it makes little sense to talk about vignetting, glare resistance, aberrations and other technical parameters that can be fixed one way or another in post-production. Even lenses for significantly more money have drawbacks, and glare can also be caught on a conditional Zeiss for a conditional 100K. The lens was purchased for artistic tasks with which it copes perfectly. Autofocus is so fast that you don't notice how it focuses, which is not surprising with such a focal length. What can…

    Pros
    • "Corrected" distortion. Price. Very fast autofocus.
    Cons
    • Inconvenient manual focus. Coma.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, Im glad I chose this option.

The main impressions are extremely positive. I really want to say WOW! Canon managed to make a sharp, cheap and fast shirik with a stub. Unfortunately, Nikon doesn’t have this (I use both systems, which is why I’m sad). I will briefly compare 10-18 is with a number of widths, including those available at the time of writing the review (sigma 10-20 4-5.6 for Nikon and Canon, Canon 10-22). I will go through all the most popular widths: 1) Tokina 116 2.8. It is more aperture and is preferable for

    Pros
    • 1) Price. The cheapest autofocus crop width. Used is cheaper than most third-party manufacturers. 2) Size and weight. For travelers a plus. There will be no overweight on the plane, it won’t take up extra space on a trip, and it won’t weigh down the backpack on a hike. 3) Appearance and quality of materials. Laconic and simple, but somehow nice. It looks like a whale and does not attract too much attention. You can shoot in the crowd from the waist without lifting the camera - everything will still fit and everything will be in focus. 4) Image quality. A minimum of XA, and insignificant ones, high sharpness with an open, closing up to 5.6 or 8, we get sharp even the corners of the frame, which is more than cool for the width. The sharpness is higher than all other widths I have used. 5) Stab. It is difficult to overestimate its importance for street photography, for landscapes and for filming indoors. Now the tripod can almost always be left at home. 6) Well, probably the width. Still, 10 mm on a crop for $299 is very cool. So many new shots. Even the same objects shot at 18mm on a whale look completely different at 10mm. Those for whom this will be the first shirik will be delighted :) 7) Small MDF (minimum focusing distance). The glass focuses on objects as close as 5 cm from the front lens, which is good. You can even take a photo with bokeh (it is pleasant due to 7 aperture blades). 8) A bunch of other pluses - everyone will find them for himself. For me, for example, the filter diameter is 67 mm - I have many glasses with this diameter.
    Cons
    • To be honest, having a width for such a price is difficult to find cons. Moreover, I would not see any cons, even if it cost one and a half times more. Anyway, at the time of writing the review, no one else did the width with the stub on the crop. There is a canon 16-35 4lis and a tamron 15-30 2.8vs, but they are both on ff, on crop they will not be particularly wide. Well, I can hardly single out one minus - a meager set. I took a slightly used lens, already with a hood, a protective filter and a polarizer, but the new lens comes naked, without anything. They could have already put a hood in the kit. Let it be 500 more expensive. Everything else is trifles. The plastic mount allows you to make the lens lighter, and I didn’t have any breakdowns of the mount, although I carried glasses with a plastic mount on different carcasses in a non-specialized backpack mixed with other cameras and all sorts of things. Well, the lack of aperture for me in the width does not matter - anyway, most often you need to increase the depth of field and avoid soap at the edges of the frame by covering the aperture.
