I mounted this on my single speed MTB and used shims to ensure the chainline was perfect. On my first ride, it slipped constantly, even under moderate loads, when climbing fairly small hills. I suspected it needed lube, so I used a syringe and needle filled with engine oil to saturate the freewheel. I've ridden it again and the consistent slip has improved, but when I'm going up a medium to large hill it reliably slips at the very end of pedal travel. Now it won't slip when driving on flat or small hills. I don't have time to go back now as I didn't install it right away and figured I could salvage it with oil. Next time I'll probably order a Shimano freewheel and hopefully get better quality.
