Works with 26 " BBR Tuning Mag Wheels

If you bought BBR Tuning Mag Wheels and those bastards didn't tell you they didn't have a freewheel, buy this. It works great. Me can't stand Bikeberry or Gasbike

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Useless features

18 ton freewheel is easy to pedal and quiet

I have replaced the 16 ton freewheel that came with my new Dawes SST from Bikes Direct. Knocked on first ride. CyclingDeal's 18 ton freewheel is 95% quieter and the extra 2 teeth make it much easier to pedal in Texan headwinds. I like it. Trademarks of Dicta of Taiwan. The clutch has 4 slots for a 4 tooth BMX removal tool on the drive side and two round dimples on the opposite side.

Knock on the sport

Technically the cog is installed and runs with no slip, but during my first 20 mile ride there was a very loud thud every time the pedal was pressed. This was combined with a new chain/sprocket so it's just a poor quality stock design. I would suggest investing more in race ready Shimano, White Industries, Origin8, Box or Token shifters that have no bearing play and crunch under load. You won't hear it on video until you've ridden the first few miles, used legitimate watts and veered off the…

Then drove about 100 km.

It looked like it was going to be a good run on the freewheel, but after about the 100k mark it started rattling under load. Fast forward another 50 miles and it thumps/pops hard enough that I'm too worried it won't let me down to ride it. It also rolls very badly. I don't give one star because I'm a bit strict with my single speed. We have some decent hills and I like to climb them as hard as possible. I'm sure this free play will be good for someone on flat ground and maybe not on their bikes

Slips under load when cycling

I mounted this on my single speed MTB and used shims to ensure the chainline was perfect. On my first ride, it slipped constantly, even under moderate loads, when climbing fairly small hills. I suspected it needed lube, so I used a syringe and needle filled with engine oil to saturate the freewheel. I've ridden it again and the consistent slip has improved, but when I'm going up a medium to large hill it reliably slips at the very end of pedal travel. Now it won't slip when driving on flat or…
