Assemble in minutes via YouTube video. This effectively doubled my range, giving the camera at the other end of my garage 2 bars of signal strength. It originally didn't have one and was over 80 feet from the router. The garage is detached and is on the opposite side of the house from the router. The only thing I noticed is that the more cameras you want to add, the weaker the overall signal for everyone. I am currently using 2 on the expander. One is only 15 feet and the other 35 feet. There are no issues with camera performance and recording quality. A loved one has 5 bars when it was only 2 to begin with. In general, completely satisfied!
