Review on S27A950D 27" Samsung Monitor: Full HD, 3D Display, LS27A950DS/ZA by Damien Inappropriate

First of all I would like to say "THANK YOU!" to Revain for the great support they offer to their customers. I'm always surprised when I have a problem with a purchase because Revain is always there to help no matter what the problem. Let's get to the rating. I actually have 3 of these monitors and they all had the same problem. For lack of a better way to describe it. They have a small leak in the lower right corner. One of the monitors was worse than the other as it had other spots that "brightened" the screen. I decided to do a video review because I hope it shows my problem better. I contacted Samsung twice by phone and three times by email. I haven't heard a word from the email, but both reps I spoke to believe these are faulty monitors. The last rep was able to review the photos I sent to see what the problem was. The only thing he suggested I do was send it to Samsung for repair. I think Samsung should test one of these to make sure it works and send it to me in exchange for one of the bad ones. Of course that's just my thought. I didn't like this monitor at first because I thought it looked like a sewing machine. :) I have to admit this is a beautiful monitor with spectacular colors. The only thing I wish we could solve the 'little' problem I have. If I get nothing more from Samsung I will ask Revain to send me a third one hoping everything is ok. I'll also see if I can find it at a local store to see if they have the same issue. I will have to make the final decision on whether or not to live with the distortion. If my background is black, the distortion is light gray, yellow or blue is black. Not being technical enough, I know what is causing the problem. Because I got tired twice and failed both times, I'm giving this monitor a very low rating. My only other complaint is that the screen is very reflective. When I'm working, it reflects a lot of light behind me. I played the 3D game and it was great. I say that with a grain of salt because I think 3D is still young and has a long way to go. I don't have the Samsung 3D software installed. I got it working with my Nvidia drivers. I hope this helps the next buyer or maybe Samsung solves the problem because like I said this is a great monitor!
