When it gets dirty and/or clogged

This filter fits as designed. I will not go back to the "less appropriate" fram I've been using for years. I had a problem with the air sensor on my 2002 Ford F-150 and I have a feeling that the filter probably contributed to the problem. For those who don't know, there is a sensor in the tube that leads to the motor. If it is dirty and/or clogged, the engine will almost stop. The sensor can be cleaned, but it is better to replace it. The Motorcraft filter fits as it should. There's a difference.
