Good body, very bad straps and zippers and mysterious drawstrings

Good at first. The upper and lower main walls are wide, deep and strong. I love it and know it will hold up even a large laptop well. Pockets and pen/utility loops are good too. Now for the bad. Sewn on Velcro - let's see, 2 pairs to match the backrest for attaching to the car seat and 2 pairs to match (one pair on each side of the cab) and the fabric side panels have Velcro on the bottom edge that fits the too narrow strip of matching strips on Velcro along the innermost edges. I can only surmise that someone made a (perhaps bad) judgment as to where to put the outer seat mounting straps so all cars would have a chance of getting them to work. My advice is to use the bottom pair over the neck supports first and pull them tight so the entire unit sits high on the backrest. Then attach the second/top pair of straps around the same posts and tighten as well. But it's a mess, and the straps are in an odd, almost reverse orientation, which would make things easier. In my experience with them. The internal Velcro closures are an even bigger puzzle and mess, requiring a lot of fumbling, testing, ripping, and retrying to even get a barely passable arrangement. I'm still not happy with the inner straps and they are also aligned very oddly, not how I would sew them. But wait, there's more in the kit: 2 very long cords/laces of totally unknown purpose. Seriously, what are two 4ft cords for? WE NEVER KNOW - BUHAHAHAHAHA! I suspect that by the time I'm done customizing the setup I'll have made my own investments - something more powerful and organized. -thin cheap zipper. It's very poorly stitched to the body of the device, especially on both ends of the zipper where you get a very vulnerable thin gap just begging to be pulled out. Main body but hate the velcro and zipper. I'm going to sort it and not even use a zipper but some paperclips to close it.
