It was a good buy

I was a bit skeptical when I first bought it because I didn't know what color they were (space grey) and they didn't have many reviews. The first thing I noticed when attaching it to my 2017 MacBook Pro was that it wasn't flush against the MacBook; It's like a one millimeter gap. It fits me. I don't look at this thing all day - I work on my computer. This is a very small gap and negligible for obvious reasons. However, it closes flush with the bottom of the case (keyboard). This allows me to close the lid with ease. I don't use a case because I just don't drop $1500 computers, so that probably helps. I suspect that this could also be the reason for the millimeter gap: to close the closed lid. This unit gets warm, but not by much, no more than the MacBook itself. I'm using a charger, an ethernet port, and an HDMI port at the same time, so the HDMI port probably has more power output. Overall, this adapter has never let me down in the 2 weeks I've owned it.
