I placed them on two 12 inch wide drawers, each filled with light items and each with the type of drawer they depict. Unless you pull the drawer straight out, the leg will jump over the edge to grab hold. I installed a piece of wood on the cabinet above the leg to keep the drawer on track. But if something is misaligned, the foot will either get caught on the stop block or jump over the pawl. I then tried it on a heavier drawer with your typical full extension slide. It worked better there because there is no up/down movement in the boxing motion. But the box is too heavy to slide in successfully. I could add a second soft return on the other side, but I don't think it's worth the effort.
