Like other reviewers, the company contacted me to buy one of these and a refund for the purchase to receive as I posted the review. (So beware of artificially inflated star ratings). I asked the person who contacted me directly for the specs, if they can support RTSP, local IP access, etc. You said "yes. Pos. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and attempted to mate 4 times. It appeared on my Wi-Fi network and started transmitting data to their servers, but didn't communicate with the application. The old Wansview app (which connects directly to your local IP cameras) refused to recognize the new W4 camera and helpfully links you to the broken cloud app. Local IP access doesn't work, the camera doesn't offer local settings, updates, etc. When cloud servers disappear (and they disappear), your cameras become unusable. I used to recommend Wansview cameras because they work. great as local IP cameras and the app was basically unobtrusive and just worked with no stupid permissions. The new cloud app *doesn't* work well (if it works at all) and requires access to local storage, location, etc. to work. really change other issues with this camera and software.
