Bought to sterilize my lab environment. However, I'm not sure if it's sterile on its own as it doesn't say so on the label. I took a chance as it's sterile. Well, my cells are growing normally. It's a lot cheaper than the VWR product. If you are on a tight budget this would be a good choice. I give 5 stars whether it's sterile or not. Update: I found a contaminated cell culture medium and tested its effectiveness with a filter. Please check the picture I took under the microscope. The filter works great. So I give the finale 5 stars
