Review on Enhance Your Volkswagen VW Jetta MK6 Automatic with 9 Moon Stainless Steel Car Pedal by Shahed Cleveland

Here are some instructions. A dead pedal requires patience and skill.

Looks better than stock on my 2011 Jetta SE. The accelerator pedal and brake pedal are relatively easy to attach. The gas pedal is just a cover for the stock pedal. Brake and dead pedal need to be replaced. The new "dead" pedal is narrower than the stock one, leaving an oddly large gap between it and the brake pedal. The metal used for the pedals is flimsy and cheap, but not bad for the price. The installation took me about 45 minutes. up to 1 hour and I'm relatively comfortable working with VW and Audi vehicles. There are no installation instructions, so I'll do my best to help others avoid the same headache I had installing a dead pedal. I highly recommend using plastic fairing removal tools to avoid scratching stock fairings. KINGLAKE Car Door Panel Remover Clips Car Dashboard Tool Kits Radio Audio Installation Tool 4pcs Here are the steps: 1. There is a semi-circular plastic panel on the driver's side of the dashboard. Use a trim remover to separate it from the dash, starting at the top corner towards the front of the car. Move around the plate until you can easily pull it out.2. Next to this plate is a thin plastic plate surrounded by a rubber gasket. It attaches to the top of the dashboard with a clip. Lever the panel next to the clip towards the rear of the vehicle. Once the clip is released, lift the panel and set it aside.3. Use the trim tool to pry up the driver's side rocker panel, starting at the front and working backwards. This is the plastic panel between the driver's door and the seat rails. You don't have to remove the whole thing, just pull straight up and then towards the center console. You only need enough space to remove the foosball cover. If any metal clips are still attached to the vehicle, remove them and reattach them to the plastic trim for easy reattachment. Next, the foosball panel is the hardest part. Have a flathead screwdriver ready. Pull the hood latch. By holding the lever you can see where the lever covered the round thing. This is a plastic cover for a screw several millimeters in diameter. Lift/remove the small cover with the cutting tool. Behind him is a screw. Remove the screw with a slotted screwdriver. You should be able to pull a little on the kick bar to release the plastic clip that the screw was attached to. You have to move the kicker bar around the lever by pulling the lever back. This requires some skill, so be patient and maneuver in different ways until it breaks off. Use a torx bit (T20?) holding the dead pedal to the floor board. Move the dead pedal up and then out. Replace the original with a new dead pedal. Hope this helps someone.
