Review on πŸ“» Uniden BearTracker Scanner (BCT15X) - 9,000 Channels, TrunkTracker III, Close Call RF Capture - Black Color by Ashutosh Takumatla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Carefully! There is no instruction manual.

Just received the scanner. It feels solid and I expect it to be a great radio, but it doesn't come with a printed manual. It includes a copy of their site's wiki pages as it is a "manual" - which would be nice if it weren't sparse and you didn't have to trawl through thousands of web pages trying to figure out how to do it - it is very easily. I don't need to watch any third party YouTube videos to understand how to program the scanner. I've been building my own ham radio and programming computers for 40 years, I'm not tech savvy and sure I'll look into this scanner. But it's absurd that it doesn't come with the right instructions. I will update this review after I find out. Two stars so far because of the poor instructions.

Pros
  • TrunkTracker III keeps you up to date with Motorola, EDACS and LTR systems. Volume offset for a single channel. Alpha mark
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
