Review on Dorman 973 434 Blower Motor Resistor by Andy Edwards

Like many other Colorado/Canyon/I-Series truck owners, I lost some fan speed. I used this kit to replace a resistor/wire harness and it's working great now. The only thing I would recommend when installing is to move the places where you connect to the original wiring harness. There isn't much room where this wiring harness runs between the dash bezel and the fan housing behind the glove box. The instructions also say that the blower body needs to be modified with a hot knife. This may be necessary for some models, but my 2007 didn't need to be changed. I would check the fit of the new resistor before disassembling the fan housing.
