Purchased to split the HDMI stream into separate channels for audio and video as our new TV displays full 4K HDR10 but my AV receiver does only 4K and does not go through HDR. Well connected but no 4K sent to TV or receiver and further upscaled to 1080P. The setup was a bit finicky at best, as it sometimes recognized the HDMI channel and other times didn't respond and I had to reset/unplug the adapter. I'll just live with 4K for now and will be buying a new AVR in the near future that can stream HDR to our TV rather than messing around with this or other adapters.
