I have an old surround sound system (Yamaha rx-v677) that passes 4K but doesn't support HDR. I used Blackbird to share my 4K HDR Roku TV and Yamaha. It worked, I had to try each output to see which would be considered the main output, and now I just select that input on the Yamaha, turn on my 4k HDR Blu-ray player and see the HDR detection display the TV screen.
